Old Times: a couple invites the wife’s good friend from 20 years ago to dinner. From the moment she arrives it is unclear who is the leading couple and who is the Odd Man Out (this is also the film watched on a date 20 years ago by two of the three – it is unclear which two). The basic situation of the play is one of three who are striving to become two.
